Hi there, if you are wondering why the absence of recent posts here, it is because my mind is a bit preoccupied with other stuff, like going home for Xmas holidays. I haven't been starving myself, LOL...never! Nothing and no one comes in between me and my happiness... my food! I am actually saving space....literally, I will tell you why. Anyone who has been to Malaysia will understand.
In a month's time, I will be on Air AsiaX ( Ahem! Free plug here!) flight to Malaysia. That in-flight nasi lemak better be good coz I will blogging about this trip and posting photos here....I am sure it will be fabulous! I will also be travelling up to my hometown Sungai Petani and stopping in Penang during this "food tour". Also on the card is a side trip to Singapore. I can't wait... are you excited yet for me?
My first meal would have to be at a roadside hawker stall. Join me then as I eat, shoot and post ;)
Sky bar at Traders Hotel KL
A bit of background on Malaysia here, it has predominantly Malay population hence the array of delights such as Ramly Burger, Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak, Satay etc. I know that I will want to eat some Sambal Udang, Ikan Bakar, Sambal Kangkung, Sambal Petai.....oh, I will be in Sambal Heaven ;)
Not forgetting the Chinese dishes, I must also go for the Seafood Hor Fun, Char Kway Teow in Penang, Assam Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Oh dear, three weeks in Asia, will I be able to capture all this in a photo blog? I will try my hardest leh! The list goes on...Wonton mee, Prawn mee, Curry mee aka Laksa... YUM! Not forgetting Chee Chong Fan, Yong Tau Foo....Popiah and Dim Sum etc.
Not to be outdone, we also have those Mamak stalls that caters things like Tandoori Chicken, Roti Canai, Mee Goreng, Nasi Bryani and Indian rojak....yummy stuff.... the last time I went home, I couldn't get any Pasembur aka Indian rojak... it is the best, I tell you! Okay rojak buah is also good... aiyo...fight fight fight... I could try both dishes in the one sitting? It's gonna be tough.... I might have to propose marriage to a mamak guy!
