Ingredients
I big brown sliced onion
Grab two fillets of frozen Basa Fish from freezer, do not defrost, cook from frozen.
Hand ful of green beans
I tablespoon of crushed ginger
2 teaspoon of sambal chilli
Sesame oil
Dark Soy sauce
Method
- Heat up sesame oil in wok.
- sautee the onions till brown
- Stir in the green beans and chillies
- Add frozen fish, stir on low heat.
- Add a little water... leave fish to cook in wok.
- Check flesh of fish make sure it is cooked through. Served up on plate when ready.
- Drizzle some sesame oil on fish then dark soy sauce.
- Served with rice when finished cooking.

Basa fish... is it a strong flavoured fish or relatively "normal"?
I'm looking at fiddling with this recipe using aussie native fish - notably those available in this inland "paradise" we inhabit - can you describe the characteristics for me? Salty or nay? etc..?
Basa is a beaute fish, not strong flavoured at all and have soft flesh and almost like ling in flavour but ling has firmer flesh. I don't like strong flavoured fish....too fishy. What is an aussie native fish?

Yup this is real good and takes minutes to cook. Used frozen green beans so ii can stock up and it's a meal I always have in the freezer on the ready.
